Welcome to Second Grade!
- Be on time every day.
- On time means lined up outside with the class at 8:35 when the first bell rings.
- Class begins promptly at 8:40 when you are in your seat--ready to learn.
- Tardiness interrupts the whole class and puts your child at a disadvantage due to missed instruction.
- Be prepared every day.
- Bring everything you will need for school that day--backpack, lunchbox, and appropriate outerwear for the weather--we do go outside for recess every day.
- Helpful hints for successful mornings:
- Gather all items for school before bedtime and put them in backpacks.
- Prepare lunches the night before.
- Lay out clothing before bed, find both shoes,
- Stay the whole day.
- Please try to avoid scheduling appointments, lessons, and vacations during school hours.
- It is always easier to keep up than to catch up.
- Always do your best work--now is the time to create best learning habits.
- Be respectful.
